Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Delhi on Wednesday evening after the health of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, admitted at the hospital since June, worsened. Other ministers also turned up at the hospital to check on Vajpayee’s health.
“Former Prime Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee has been admitted for the last nine weeks at AIIMS. Unfortunately, his condition has worsened over the last 24 hours. His condition is critical and he is on life support,” AIIMS said in a statement at 10.08 pm.
