Sales at duty-free shops on Korea's resort island of Jeju reached an all-time high in the second quarter, thanks mainly to the return of Chinese tourists.
According to Statistics Korea, the figures from April to June were up 58 percent on-year.
The number of foreign visitors to Jeju International Airport also jumped 140 percent compared to the same period last year.
The contributing factor is the rebound in Chinese tourists, after numbers dipped when Beijing took retaliatory measures against Seoul over a defense upgrade.
