According to CNN, there are more people sleeping in Hong Kong’s McDonald’s than ever before. Data is showing that there has been a sixfold increase in what people call “McRefugees.” In the research conducted they found that not all overnight sleepers are homeless. More than 70 percent said they had other places to sleep and either full or part-time jobs. Some simply left at McDonald’s because they didn’t have air conditioning in their homes.
