A filmer captured dark smoke from the Ranch Fire filling the sky near Clearlake Oaks, California, on the morning of August 6.
“Nothing appears to have progressed towards Clearlake Oaks overnight,” the filmer said.
The Mendocino Complex fires, comprised of the Ranch Fire and River Fire, are “now the second-largest in state history, scorching 273,663 acres,” according to The Sacramento Bee.
