For nearly two decades, a 500-metre stretch of Sai Yeung Choi Street South in Hong Kong’s bustling Mong Kok district served as a stage for amateur singers, musicians, dancers and other street performers. The street was closed off to traffic on weekends to accommodate the thousands of people who flocked to the lively pedestrian zone, which became a go-to destination for tourists as well as locals. Chan Kim-hung and Jacqueline Lau spent seven years singing on Sai Yeung Choi Street South. This is the story of their last weekend performing in Mong Kok.
