Today, the two Koreas exchanged the final lists of participants for the reunions of families separated by the Korean War.
The event is to take place for a week starting August 20th at the Mount Kumgang resort in North Korea.
For the first half of the week, 93 participants chosen by South Korea will be heading up to the resort to meet their families from the North.
And during the latter half of the week, 88 participants chosen by the North will meet up with their South Korean families at the resort.
These participants were chosen after South and North Korea checked their health, willingness to attend the reunions, and most importantly, whether their families remain alive on the other side of the border.
Renovations at the resort are ongoing as the location has not been used for such an event since 2015.
