A soccer fan in Toronto celebrated Toronto FC’s MLS Cup victory over the Seattle Sounders in December 2017 by sneaking onto the team’s homecoming parade bus, video posted in July shows.

Toronto celebrated its championship with a parade and fan rally on December 11 after the team beat the Sounders 2-0.

Toronto native Nevin Deshpande sneaked onto the team’s double-decker bus outside of the Air Canada Centre shortly before the parade began.

Deshpande said he got onto the bus by posing as a social media director with the club when questioned by security staff.

The 21-year-old tried to keep his cool but he broke as soon as Toronto FC’s goalkeeper, Alex Bono, offered him a beer, which he proceeded to chug as fast as he could.

“For the last 10-15 mins of the ride, I mingled with front office people and drank more,” Deshpande said. “When the bus stopped out front of city hall, I had no clue what to do. I tried to follow the players on stage but a police officer cut me off and said to sit front row with the fans. And I obliged.”
