Washington Nationals May Be Looking to Trade Bryce Harper According to ESPN, the struggling team may deal All-Star outfielder Bryce Harper before the July 31 trade deadline. There is also speculation the Nationals would consider dealing Harper and then bring him back as a free agent after the season. ESPN says to trade Harper, the Nationals would have to be overwhelmed and get everything they want in return, including a top-tier starting pitcher. MLB.com adds that Washington has spoken to a few teams to gauge what kind of return they
could get. The 25-year-old Harper is currently hitting .220 with 25 home runs and 62 RBIs. He will also be a free agent after the season ends and is expected to demand an enourmous contract.
