Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. Hot air is flowing in on an easterly wind, heating up the western part of the country fast,... Seoul peaking 38.3 degrees Celsius today. Meanwhile, the heatwave alerts that were lifted in the east coast are back again with advisories too.

Now, the problem is Seoul will see the worst heat in 111 years tomorrow, daytime highs even hotter than today. It won't be too much different elsewhere in Northeast Asia, including Tokyo and Beijing.

After experiencing a tropical night tonight, the morning low will be at 28 degrees in Seoul, while most other places will linger between 25 and 26 degrees.

The mercury will surge to 39 degrees tomorrow in Seoul. Daejeon and Gwangju will also be sweltering hot at 38 and 37 degrees respectively.

So after tomorrow's record-breaking highs in Seoul, Thursday morning will be near 30 degrees.
