Giant panda Longlong, the first of its kind born in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong province, gave birth to a male cub on July 12.
Five-year-old Longlong moved to Wolong of Sichuan province temporarily for mating with a male giant panda in February and then became pregnant.
Long Long giving birth to a healthy cub suggests giant pandas are able to fit in the living environment of South China.
