Atlanta Police officers smashed through a window to rescue a baby trapped inside a hot car outside a grocery store on July 25. Police said the child’s grandmother accidentally locked the keys inside while loading groceries into the car.
“While the grandmother of the baby was loading groceries into the car, her keys accidentally fell inside the car and when she closed the door the car automatically locked her out. The grandmother called 911 and our officers responded, carefully breaking the car window and rescuing the baby. The grandmother and baby were reunited and Atlanta Fire Rescue arrived on the scene to give the child medical attention, the baby was determined to be in good health,” the Atlanta Police Department said.
