Gathered at the nation's top office later this Friday afternoon will be top commanders of South Korea's entire armed forces, including the Marine Corps.
Chaired by South Korean President Moon Jae-in, one of the key agenda is expected to be military reform... which is one of the Commander-in-Chief's key policy initiatives.
Since taking office in May last year, President Moon has been calling for efforts to eradicate what he calls deep-rooted corruption in the military and the defense industry.
Friday's meeting will be attended by some 1-hundred-and-80 officials including Defense Minister Song Young-moo, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Jeong Kyeong-doo, Vincent Brooks, Commander-in-Chief of the ROK-U.S. Combined Forces, President Moon's Chief of Staff Im Jong-seok, and the President's National Security Adviser Chung Eui-yong.
