The Italian fire and rescue service provided two planes to help fight wildfires in Greece as part of a European mission to help the country tackle the deadly fires, officials said on July 25.

The Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement thanking “friends and partners of Greece” for their help in the effort to stop the wildfires.
