A heckler interrupted the launch of Sean Spicer’s book, branding the former White House press secretary as a “garbage person”, at the New York event on Wednesday, July 25.
The man, who requested to remain anonymous in reports, filmed himself telling Spicer that he had “lied as press secretary” and was now “lying in [his] book” during the event at Barnes & Noble book store in Union Square.
In the clip, he can be heard saying: “Hey Sean, you’re a real piece of garbage and I hope you look around and see all these empty seats. And I hope you realize in even in New York City people will not come and pay to hear you speak.”
The video then shows the man leaving the event after being ejected by the organisers.
As he walks away, he shouts; “You lied as press secretary and now you’re lying in your book. I’ve read the reviews; The Wall Street Journal called you a liar!”
Barnes & Noble did not immediately comment on the incident, the New York Daily News reported. Credit: Anonymous via Storyful
