Captain Len Griener captured footage of a shark biting down on a striped bass as it was being reeled in just off Harwich Port near Cape Cod, Massachusetts on July 23.

Captain Griener was out fishing with the Adventure with Magellan Deep Sea Fishing Charters crew when he captured the incident.

The video shows a crew member locked in a tug of war with the predator. The fisherman manages to overtake the shark and brings the bass into the boat. The shark, which is believed to be a great white, bite off the bass’ tail and took a few other bites before swimming away.
