Five Witnesses Granted Immunity in Paul Manafort Trial A judge has granted the request for five witnesses to testify with immunity in the criminal trial of former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort. The request was made by prosecutors in the office of special counsel
Robert Mueller. In all, the government is expected to call about 30 witnesses in the case. U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis is also expected to rule on Monday for Manafort's request to delay the trial, which is slated to start this week. Defense lawyers have said they need additional time to review over 120,000 pages of documents recently provided by the government.
