Several confirmed tornadoes ripped through central Iowa on July 19, causing significant damage and injuring dozens.

This video, posted to Facebook by Timothy Deaver, shows the formation in Prairie City about 20 miles east of capital Des Moines.

Neighboring cities Pella, Marshalltown and Bondurant were devastated by tornados that afternoon. Authorities have imposed curfews for residents as damage assessment and cleanup operations were underway.
