Heat wave alerts have been issued for five consecutive days in Seoul,... and have been issued for more than a week for the southern provinces. It's more likely we'll be under heat alerts for the time being.
And the cruel heatwave boiling the nation shows no sign of easing up. Starting this weekend, Seoul will see highs hovering around 35 to 36 degrees Celsius. The scorching heat is taking a toll on thousands of farm animals as well.
What's more, the hottest areas of Korea, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and the city of Daegu will have another day with high levels of ultrafine dust.
Intense sunshine and high humidity will make it feel hotter than the actual temperatures, Seoul will get up to 34 degrees, Gwangju 36.
Strong UV rays will burn your skin in just a few minutes so apply a good amount of sunblock and stay hydrated.
