Reservoirs across the UK are starting to dry out as a heatwave and lack of rainfall continues to affect much of the country.
Footage captured on July 8 in the Elan Valley in Wales shows how the water level has receded dramatically, leaving the earth cracked and dry.
What is believed to be the country's longest heatwave since 1976 means some areas of the UK will face hosepipe bans from August.
Up to 3.2m properties in north-east England will be affected by the decision by United Utilities.
