www.EmploymentCrossing.com The Kane County, Illinois Health Department announced Friday it will lay off 25 full- and part-time employees in December. Largely driven by state budget cuts and decreased local tax revenue, a deficit of $1.4 million is projected for the fiscal 2009 budget, the department said. In addition to eliminating 13 vacant positions, a total of nine full-time jobs and 14 part time jobs will be eliminated. “We need to have as much time as possible to plan how we can minimize the impact these staff cuts will have on services to Kane residents,” said executive director Paul Kuehnert. The Department oversees health programs for the 404,000 people of Kane County, including Aurora, the second largest city in Illinois.
