Trump-Putin Summit Sparks Protests In Helsinki

US President Donald Trump met with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki on July 16, prompting protests in the city.

Police said 20 protesters were arrested for causing a disturbance.

The summit between the two world leaders was to begin with a one-on-one meeting followed by talks attended by Russian and US delegates.

Speaking on the eve of the meeting Donald Trump said the relationship between the US and Russia had “never been worse thanks to many years of US foolishness and stupidity” as well as a “rigged witch hunt.”
