The Irving Police Department urged road users to use caution on July 11 after one of its officers was nearly hit by a car while working on a highway.
FOX 4 reported that Officer Sam Hall had pulled a driver over on Highway 114 on July 3, prompting other drivers to slow down as they passed.
Body camera footage shows one vehicle approaching at a high speed and swerving into the hard shoulder, where Hall was standing, forcing him to jump out of the way.
Photos show the officer’s bike was damaged in the incident. No charges were filed against the driver, FOX 4 reported, but police urged drivers to take care on the roads. Credit: Irving Police Department via Storyful
