The roof of a Safeway grocery store collapsed in Phoenix, Arizona, and the building caught fire on Wednesday, July 11, during a massive storm that hit the city, 12 News reported.
The Phoenix Fire Department said firefighters were dispatched following a roof collapse report at the store; a reporter at the scene said the streets in the area were also flooded following the storm.
It remained unclear if lightning caused the fire or “if weather played a factor in the roof collapse,” fire officials said.
