After much speculation on a possible transfer, Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed to join Juventus in a deal worth a reported 117 million U.S. dollars.
The 33-year-old Portugal star is set to sign a four-year contract with Italy's Serie A champions, with a reduced annual salary of 35 million dollars.
Though the transfer fee is not the highest in football, it is among the top four.
Ronaldo has won 16 trophies, including four Champions League titles, and has scored 451 goals in his nine years at Real Madrid.
In an open letter to Real's fans, Ronaldo said he decided after much reflection, the "time has come for a new cycle."
