Facebook Begins Testing of AR Ads In News Feed Facebook users in the U.S. will be the first to be able to try on products in a sort of virtual fitting room. The ads viewed via augmented reality are advertised through a process similar to a Snapchat filter. Users will be able to interact with e-commerce goods such as fashion accessories, cosmetics and furniture before making a purchase. Some big-name brands that are already hopping on the bandwagon include Sephora, Wayfair and Pottery Barn. In addition to the AR ads, shopping for Instagram Stories will also be expanding in the coming months.
