Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said that Janata Dal (United) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are working together in Bihar not outside the state. “There has not been an alliance like that at the national level,” he said.
He further added, "We are working together in Bihar. There is no problem here and questions are repeatedly asked about Bihar. Outside of Bihar, we have not spoken of working together. You can see our government is working together and even in Nagaland we contested together and won one seat. In some places, we lost by less than 500 votes. Even in Karnataka, there are people with Samajwadi views, but they are not linked to the party. Whoever wants to pursue whatever in their states is given the liberty to do so. No such alliance has been formulated at the national level. The alliance we have with BJP in Bihar today, to say that we will abandon it and forge it with someone else is something unheard of."
