Two U.S. warships have entered the Black Sea for multinational exercises dubbed Sea Breeze 2018.
The American Fleet battleship USS Porter entered the waters on Friday and was joined by the U.S. Navy's flagship USS Mount Whitney the day after.
The U.S. Naval Forces Europe said Sea Breeze 2018 is aimed at enhancing regional maritime stability, as well as strengthening combined readiness and naval capability among NATO allies and partners.
The drills will be held in the Odesa and Mykolaiv regions as well as the north-western part of the Black Sea from Monday through to the 21st.
