A fast-growing fire in Goleta, in California’s Santa Barbara County, destroyed a number of homes and forced mandatory evacuations late on July 6.
The fire, known as the Holiday Incident, started as a structure fire, according to local reports citing authorities, but spread quickly amid high winds on what reports said was one of the hottest days on record in parts of Southern California.
