A police officer in Marysville, Washington, fulfilled his civic duties on July 4th when he saved a US flag that was knocked off its pole by wind.

Marysville resident Ben Rieman shared CCTV footage of local police officer Dave Negron walking up Rieman’s driveway, rolling up the knocked over flag and placing it on his porch.

According to the Marysville Police Department, Negron has only been with the department for over a year.
