Reporters waiting for Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi at the MACC headquarters this morning were surprised by the presence of former Felda chairperson Shahrir Abdul Samad.

Shahrir, clad in a white shirt, had arrived earlier before Zahid, at about 9.40am.

He is believed to have his car parked outside the building and walked in here alone.

Speaking to media, Shahrir said he was here to have his statements recorded over "admission of receiving funds", without divulging details.
