The European Union has reached a much-needed compromise on tackling the migration crisis affecting the continent.
Under mounting pressure from Italy and certain other member states, the EU's powerhouses -- France and Germany -- agreed on Friday after several hours of crunch talks in Brussels to tougher regulations.
Under the deal, migrants can no longer choose in which EU country they will live.
There will also be migrant centers established in non-EU countries.
In addition, more support will be given to Mediterranean countries which have been bearing the brunt of the crisis.
The International Organization for Migration says about 56-thousand mostly African migrants have arrived in Europe so far this year.
