Kyrie Irving reportedly threatened to sit out the season and have surgery on his knee.
Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon reports that Irving needs minor surgery on his knee as a follow up to the surgery he underwent after suffering a broken knee cap in the 2015 NBA Finals. It’s not major, but the procedure would ease some of the swelling and day-to-day pain he feels.
Plus, Irving to pair with -- you guessed it -- LeBron James, as the NBA All-Star teams were picked today.
And Marcus Smart has had a difficult past few days. Smart spent Wednesday afternoon in a Los Angeles hospital getting his hand stitched up after mysteriously cutting it at the team hotel.
