PATRIOTS beat Falcons 23-7 in Super Bowl Rematch - Mike Petraglia
FOXBORO -- As the fog rolled into Gillette Stadium midway through the second quarter, the Atlanta Falcons were having a bad flashback to Super Bowl LI.
Like the fog, it never left.
Tom Brady had touchdown passes of 11 and two yards to Brandin Cooks and James White while Stephen Gostkowski connected on three field goals to help the Patriots capture their third straight win, 23-7, over the Falcons at Gillette Stadium and improve to 5-2. They stay a half-game ahead of the Bills and Dolphins in the AFC East, both of whom won their games Sunday to keep pace. The Falcons fell to 3-3 this season, with all three losses coming to AFC East teams.
