The 1MDB probe has nothing to do with Umno and there is no reason for the party to be alarmed, said information chief Annuar Musa.

According to Annuar, Umno had no knowledge of what transpired in 1MDB and was never briefed on any of the dealings handled by the state-owned company.

He was asked to respond to a report by The Malaysian Insight which quoted sources as claiming that enforcement agencies were probing some 1,000 people, including politicians suspected to have been paid with 1MDB funds.
