Security forces on Sunday launched an operation in Kulgam and killed two militants in the ongoing encounter.

The encounter broke out at Cheedar area of Qaimoh of South Kashmir's Kulgam district when searches had started.

"Two militants have been killed," said an official. The operation is on. The killings came just two days after security forces killed three Islamic State affiliates in Anantnag’s Khiram area.
