The Roman College was a school established by St. Ignatius of Loyola in 1551, just 17 years after he founded the Society of Jesus. It had classes from elementary school through university level. Nearby is the Jesuit Church of Saint Ignatius of Loyola. It has amazing ceiling painting and inscription "Ego vobis Romae propitius ero" meaning "you will be favored in Rome" Strongly recommended for a visit. We enjoyed our visit there.
