President Trump on Saturday again slammed Nancy Pelosi over the MS-13 gang problem.
President Trump has once again claimed that House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi and other Democrats are trying to protect MS-13 gang members.
During his weekly address released June 16, Trump repeated his view of the gang members as "animals" and described the numerous crimes they have been accused of committing.
"Nancy Pelosi and Washington Democrats continue to protect them and to push for open borders," Trump continued. "They want them taken care of. They want them to be left alone."
"Democrats in Congress have opposed every measure that would close these immigration loopholes and bring the slaughter to an end. Americans must demand their lawmakers support the legislation we need," Trump added.
The president's comments echo those he has made before.
Last month on "Fox and Friends," Trump said, "The Democrats are sticking up for MS-13. You heard Nancy Pelosi the other day, like, trying to find all sorts of reasons why they should be able to stay. These are stone cold killers -- vicious killers."
However, PolitiFact stated that Trump's repeated claim about Pelosi supporting MS-13 was false.
In fact, the fact-checking site points out that this line of attack likely began when Pelosi criticized his use of the term "animals" to describe the gang members, telling reporters, "calling people animals is not a good thing."
And while she did not address MS-13 specifically, she seemed to speak up for undocumented immigrants, saying, "we're all God's children."
