The threat of a trade war between the U.S. and China continues... as the world's second largest economy almost immediately retaliated to the Trump administration's decision to impose tariffs on Chinese imports.
China's Commerce Department says it had "no choice" but to impose tariffs on imports from the U.S. with (quote) "the same scale and intensity".
These would include electric cars, whiskey, soybeans and lobsters.
Beijing also warned that all economic and trade achievements reached by the two sides will be invalidated.
On Friday Washington announced that a whopping 25-percent tariff would be imposed on 50 billion U.S. dollars of Chinese imports.
