While this wouldn't be news under normal circumstances, but the Prime Minister's visit to the state becomes significant in light on a recent assassination threat that surfaced against Narendra Modi. The assassination plot was linked to so called urban maoists. Not only did the PM not cancel his visit, he's given a strong message to India’s enemies as he got off his vehicle to greet the citizens.
