With all the horror, torment, torture and utter despair experienced behind prison walls, there's no wonder many are said to be extremely haunted by former inmates, and here are five that are especially terrifying.

From the Moundsville Penitentiary, opened in 1879 and was considered one of the most violent prisons in america, to the Eastern State Penitentiary, where many ghost hunting groups have caught belivied paranormal footage.
