Katie Holmes leads the pack as she runs in New York City event commemorating Global Running Day.

Katie Holmes ran at the front of the pack in New York City on Wednesday as part of a Westin Hotels & Resorts event for Global Running Day.
The 39-year-old actress had her brunette locks in a pixie 'do as she wore an ash grey T-shirt and grey leggings with blue trainers in the group run.
The Toledo, Ohio native, speaking to Shape magazine, said she's always made ample time for fitness on her feet.
'I try to stay in shape,' she said Wednesday. 'I ran the New York City Marathon in 2007, and I've been running since I was a little girl. My family runs.'
