In order to make public transport popular among the affluent class, the national capital region transport corporation is planning to a have a special business coach in the upcoming regional rapid transport system in Delhi-NCR. Those travelling in these business coaches will have to pay more than the general coach. Commuters will be able to access the business coach through a separate lounge on the platform. According to the national capital region transport corporation the purpose is to make the rich ditch their cars and will take public transport. The much-awaited project in Delhi-NCR that will consist of eight corridors, out of which three have been prioritised, connecting Delhi to Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.
