The Indian Navy on June 3 evacuated 38 stranded Indians from the Socotra island in Yemen where they got struck after a cyclone hit the area 10 days ago. The Navy had diverted its ship INS Sunayna from the Gulf of Aden to Socotra a day earlier as part of operation 'NISTAR' to rescue the Indians, a Navy spokesperson said. They were brought onboard the ship after evacuation on Sunday morning. The ship is bringing the Indians back home.
