Food prices in South Korea have yet to recover from the aftermath of a cold snap last winter that caused the prices of vegetables to soar.
The OECD says Korea's food prices were up nearly 3-percent in April compared to the same period last year,... making them the tenth highest among OECD members.
That's a big jump from January this year when Korea ranked 30th.
Data from Statistics Korea show vegetable prices rose by 13-and-a-half-percent on year in May.
The price of potatoes, in particular, rose by nearly 60 percent during the same period.
Prices of Korea's staple grain, rice, also jumped by 29-and-half-percent on year.
