A Manchester United steward has come under fire after he failed to recognise Champions League-winning defender David May.

The whole episode was captured on video with fans barracking the unaware steward from the stands as he questions the treble winner’s identity.

May, a familiar face around Old Trafford for more than a decade and an MUTV pundit, is shown attempting to get pitchside before Wednesday night’s derby league cup clash with Manchester City.
