A dog was saved from freezing to death after being rescued by hero cops.
The mixed breed greyhound was abandoned at the side of the road in rural Cambridgeshire as the light was 'fading' fast.
He would have almost certainly perished as the temperatures plummeted into minus figures overnight on Sunday.
But luckily, the fawn coloured mongrel was found by officers from the Beds, Cambs & Herts Roads Policing Unit,
