Ford has unveiled a technology-filled baseball cap to stop motorists falling asleep at the wheel.

Researchers at the car giant spent months examining the head movement of motorists - recognising when they were focussed on the road and when they were suffering fatigue.

They then created the Alert Cap, a hat with sensors and a gyroscope which interprets the head movement.
