An outraged businessman has told how he captured perfect CCTV of thieves stealing £26,000 of luxury chairs - but police said they were too busy to investigate.

Jack Whiteley, 69, supplied police with super-sharp images of the culprits making off with the 160 chairs three days in a row - complete with the van's licence plate.

The police worker involved even thanked Mr Whiteley via email for "making my day with such good evidence" and passed it on to officers at Essex Police to investigate.
