Emergency services dealt with a number of flooding related incidents across the country, including the Perthshire, Tayside and Aberdeenshire areas. Homes and businesses in Perth's Marshall Place were flooded after inundated drains caused the city thoroughfare to reach knee deep with water. The neighbouring South Inch was also flooded. Fire crews with rescue boats escorted people from their homes and also assisted others with the distribution of sandbags as water levels reached basements.
