Protesters against the Bristol Metrobus have climbed up trees in Stapleton allotments to prevent them being cut down.
The trees at the Frenchay Park Road site are due to be felled tomorrow as the Bristol Metrobus road development so protesters are spending the night in trees.
Food growers and nature lovers the developments are set to destroy a Conservation area in Bristol’s Greenbelt containing wildlife habitat and prime agricultural land.
They are also concerned about the impact on Feed Bristol - an Avon Wildlife Trust community food growing project - that is situated there.
